How does it work? (1)The AVALANCHE BLAST is attached to the load hook of the helicopter using approx. a 25 m long line. As the pilot is flying the helicopter a second crewmember in the cabin controls the machine via a remote control. The machine carries a magazine of air balloons which are filled during flight with a mixture of oxygen and hydrogen. The filled balloons hang underneath the blaster and are flown close to the snow surface before firing. During firing the balloon remains attached to the blaster. After firing the magazine is repositioning the next balloon in order to perform the next shot.
